January 2012
Dear Everyone,
The Kaos Organisation is proud and delighted to welcome our new Global Patron - Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
In celebration we're dedicating one of our new signed songs to Archbishop Tutu - it's called One Earth, One Sky and is an expression of hope for human understanding and unity. It will be performed by The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf & Hearing Children and will be recorded later this spring - watch this space!
Very best wishes,
Suzy, Ali and Team Kaos
The Kaos Organisation is a Youth Arts Charity based in Haringey, North London. We run weekly workshops and holiday arts projects and regularly stage performances, concerts and multi-media projects created especially by and for young people. We also facilitate workshops for schools and youth organisations.
We also run integrated activities for deaf and hearing children and young adults, notably The Kaos Signing Choir.
We have an established Deaf Awareness programme. All our weekly workshop members learn to sing and sign Songs of Kaos and all our productions are Sign Language interpreted. Fifteen hearing young people passed Level 1 BSL after attending Kaos’s ‘Hands Up’ British Sign Language Course. Several have now gone on to Level 2 BSL. One of our students has gone on to university to read Deaf Studies and another is now a Communication Support Worker with hearing-blind and deaf-blind people.
As a charity we are very appreciative of the support we receive in the form of voluntary donations. You can donate to
The Kaos Organisation by texting KAOS11 followed by the amount in £s to 70070.
For example, if you want to give a fiver, you text KAOS11£5. It's that simple!

‘200 kids, all singing, all signing, all throwing themselves into the songs and beaming from ear to ear. It’s a phenomenal sight and a heavenly sound. Whether they have you sobbing or grinning, you leave with a song in your heart’

... Aled is also joined by the actress Josette Simon, OBE, who talks about her support of The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf and Hearing Children. This choir uniquely gives both deaf and hearing children the opportunity to come together and sing. Josette explains how the choir works and we hear a sectional weekly rehearsal with some of the younger members, practising some of their favourite specially composed music.
