The Kaos Signing Choir for Deaf & Hearing Children is an
award-winning integrated project for children aged 4 to 18. It’s the only integrated deaf and hearing children’s choir in the UK.
The choir regularly wows audiences with performances of original Songs Of Kaos, all written by or especially for the group.
The 200-strong Kaos Signing Choir has performed for Princess Anne, and won the Under-18’s Choir Class at the North London Festival of Music and Drama in 2005, 2007 and 2008.
In October 2008 the choir was featured on BBC 2’s See Hear and in November 2008 performed in the Clore Ballroom at The Royal Festival Hall. In October 2009 members of The Kaos Signing Choir from Blanche Nevile School for Deaf Children and Highgate Primary performed at the NSPCC's Annual General Meeting at the Royal Geographical Society in South Kensington.
“Deaf-hearing integration can sometimes be an awkward and stiff affair. But Kaos offer an imaginative template that can easily be
used by schools and youth organisations everywhere"
Stephen Iliffe, National Deaf Children’s Society Magazine
"Deaf and hearing children sign and sing together and their
enjoyment and enthusiasm for these sessions is fantastic.
All those who listen to our Signing Choir are moved and uplifted.
It’s a very special experience"
