Songs of Kaos
The Kaos Organisation is firmly committed to keeping the art of songwriting alive and well, and have been running Words and Tunes Songwriting Workshops since the company was formed in 1995. We now have over 100 original songs in our repertoire. These are showcased in our regular Big Gigs, Sponsored Singalongathons and once (memorably) the KaosVision Song Contest (complete with panel of celebrity judges!) For special occasions such as these we bring together The Kaos Signing Choir – an integrated project for Deaf and hearing young people, incorporating singing and British Sign Language. The choir achieved 1st and 2nd places in The North London Festival of Music and Drama Under 17s choir competition when they entered in 2004 and 2006. We were also proud to sign and sing for a delighted Princess Anne at the official opening of the new Blanche Nevile Senior School building, alongside Fortismere School, Muswell Hill. The choir is supported by the Sheena Booth Music Trust.
Songs Of Kaos are totally child orientated with witty and imaginative lyrics and instantly catchy tunes. Aimed at the (currently under-served) 7 to 12 year-old age group, they bridge the gap between Old MacDonald and Eminem. They are ideal for choirs, school assemblies and home use.
