Deaf Awareness and Inclusion

The Kaos Organisation has an established Deaf Awareness programme. All of our weekly workshop participants learn to sing and sign Songs of Kaos and all our productions are sign language interpreted.

15 hearing young people passed Level 1 BSL after attending Kaos’s ‘Hands Up’ British Sign Launguage Course. Several have now gone on to Level 2 BSL. One of our students has gone on to university to read Deaf Studies and another is now a Communication Support Worker with hearing- and Deaf-blind people.
